FLA Productions

At Family Leadership Academy, our theater productions are not just about putting on a great show—though that often happens. The real value is in the process: the friendships formed, the confidence built, and the character developed along the way.

FLA productions are a vehicle for:

  • Strengthening relationships and unity within our FLA family

  • Developing leadership, communication, and storytelling skills

  • Creating a joyful, Christ-centered environment where youth can shine

  • Preparing students for future missions and life callings through hard work, teamwork, and the courage to perform

Every production invites students ages 5–18 to participate, making it a musical experience that’s inclusive, faith-filled, and deeply rewarding.

A Brief History of FLA Productions

FLA began producing musicals in 2018, driven by enthusiastic youth and inspired parents. Our first show, Into the Woods Jr., was entirely student-led. Since then, productions have grown in scope and quality, with parents and mentors providing support, direction, and creative vision.

Past shows have included:

  • Into the Woods Jr. (2018)

  • Mary Poppins Jr. (2019)

  • Beauty and the Beast (2020)

  • Wizard of Oz (2022)

  • Newsies (2023)

  • Hello, Dolly! (2024)

Alongside our large-scale productions, Shakespeare has been a beloved part of our scholar program, offering teens a chance to explore classical theater, memorize rich language, and experience the humor, drama, and structure of timeless works.

FLA has also offered a variety of rewarding mentor-led performing arts classes such as musical revues, show choir, oratorios, variety shows, and small-scale productions. These experiences provide meaningful opportunities for students to develop their talents, collaborate with peers, and build confidence on stage—all within a more intimate and supportive setting.
